Walking around Chicago

We walked around much of downtown this evening.  According to the map in the hotel room we passed through the Streeterville, New East Side, Magnificent Mile, The Look, and River North neighborhoods.  It was an architectural treat for me:  Renzo Piano, Frank Gehry, Mies van der Rohe, and even a temporary structure by Zaha Hadid (pretty lame, but still – it’s not often you get to see her work in the U.S.), plus the bean, the Tribune building and several other classic skyscapers downtown.  We also saw the Navy Pier.  Paul was very patient; I was very excited!  It's really an architecture geek's paradise here.  We also had great deep dish pizza, which I know Paul will tell you more about later!

It’s supposed to be 95 degrees here tomorrow!
