Sweetie Pie

We finally were able to incorporate one of the spots from the show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives from the Food Network. While we were in St Louis today we stopped at a place called Sweetie Pie at the Mangrove that serves up some good ole comfort/soul food Mississippi style. All the food we picked out was ridiculous...smothered pork, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, chicken wings, yams, and okra w/ tomatoes. The sweet tea was even brewed and crafted properly. We almost both needed to take naps afterwards and probably still will.

Chip will report on the City Museum and the Cathedral-Basilica of St Louis. My quick review of City Museum is that it is entirely out of the box and a lot of fun for kids and adults. It was pretty empty in the place so we had the run of the mill. The Cathedral (which rounds us out at 10) was very impressive...a ton of beautifully done mosaics that Incorporated scripture teachings and scenes from the Bible and is fairly world renown and historic. Check it out if you're ever in St. Louis.

  1. yeah for St. Louis! I [heart] the City Museum! I would pay money to see Chip climb on everything- make sure to document for us, Paul!

A little tip I learned when I went to the City Museum- wear pants. Not a skirt. Just saying.
